Whistleblower Reporting

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, organizačná zložka is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ethical conduct, transparency and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Zurich encourages employees and other eligible persons to raise concerns regarding actual or suspected unlawful conduct, misconduct, breaches of legal obligations or other reportable matters without fear of retaliation. 

Reports are assessed impartially, confidentially and without undue delay. Zurich is committed to protecting Reporting Persons and other protected individuals in accordance with applicable legal requirements.  

Who can submit a report? 

Whistleblower reporting system is available to:

  • Employees,

  • Former employees,

  • Job applicants,

  • Agency workers,

  • Interns and trainees,

  • Suppliers, contractors and business partners,

  • Other persons who become aware of reportable matters in connection with work or services performed for Zurich. 

What can be reported? 

Reports may relate to actual or suspected: 

  • criminal offences or other unlawful conduct,

  • administrative offences or regulatory breaches,

  • breaches of legal obligations,

  • fraud, corruption or abuse of authority,

  • serious breaches of Zurich internal rules,

  • conduct that may result in financial, legal or reputational harm to Zurich or its stakeholders.

    Reports may also be submitted through the Zurich Ethics Line, an independent reporting channel operated by a third-party provider (Navex).

  • External reporting:
    Reports may be also submitted directly to the Slovak Whistleblower Protection Office without prior notification to Zurich. The Office provides information on whistleblower protection, reporting options and statutory protections available under applicable legislation.

  • Anonymous Reports:
    Reports may be submitted anonymously. Anonymous reports are assessed and investigated in the same manner as non-anonymous reports, provided sufficient information is available to enable an appropriate assessment.   

  • Confidentiality:
    Zurich maintains confidentiality regarding the identity of Reporting Persons, affected persons and any information from which their identity could be inferred. Access to information is strictly limited to individuals who require it for the performance of their duties.   

  • Protection Against Retaliation: 
    Zurich strictly prohibits retaliation against any Reporting Person acting in good faith. Protection extends, where applicable, to persons assisting the Reporting Person, witnesses and other individuals connected with the Reporting Person who could be affected by retaliation.   

  • Good Faith Reporting: 
    ZA Reporting Person is not required to prove the reported facts or provide conclusive evidence. It is sufficient to report concerns in good faith. A person will not be subject to adverse consequences solely because a reported concern was not substantiated following investigation.
